Creamy Salad Dressing
2 Tbsp. farm fresh organic canola or flax oil
3 Tbsp. cider vinegar or lemon juice
3 Tbsp. plain yogurt
2 tsp. honey
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 t. saltCombine ingredients in a small glass jar or cruet,
shake well. Refrigerate and use within 1 week!
Spicy Salad Dressing
1/2 cup farm fresh organic flax or canola oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp. orange juice
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. curry powder
1 clove garlic, crushedCombine ingredients in a small glass jar or cruet,
shake well. Refrigerate and use within 1 week!
Use & enjoy healthy oils everyday ...
- Roast vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, etc.) Cut 8 cups of veggies in chunks and place in a large, shallow pan. Drizzle 1/4 cup of farm fresh canola oil over and roast 45 minutes in 350 degree oven, stir & cook another 15 minutes for a wonderful main or side dish.
- Drizzle farm fresh organic flax oil over fresh corn on the cob! It tastes nutty & looks just like melted butter. Any cooked vegetable tastes grand with a splash of farm fresh organic flax oil, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
- Make Hummus! Use 1-19 oz. can of drained chickpeas, add 4 cloves of minced garlic, 4 Tbsp. lemon juice, 4 Tbsp. farm fresh flax oil, 1/2 tsp. Tabasco & cumin. Puree until mixture is smooth for a wonderful dip. Serve with pita chips: Cut pita pockets in 6 triangles, separate to make 12 triangles. Brush lightly with fresh canola oil , bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes, 350 degrees F.
- Granola Bars: Mix 4 cups Rice Krispies, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 4 Tbsp. ground flaxseed (1/2 cup),1/3 cup chocolate chips in large bowl. Heat 1/3 cup corn syrup & 1/2 cup brown sugar until sugar dissolves. Add 1/3 cup farm fresh canola oil & pour over dry ingredients. Stir well to mix. Press very firmly into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Cut into bars.
- On Veggies: In a hot skillet add 2 or more cups of fresh washed vegetables & steam for a few minutes. Add 1-2 Tbsp. farm fresh canola oil & saute veggies. Serve over pasta and enjoy.
